Let’s boycott: Kellogg’s Special K
Kellogg’s have done it again with their latest body-shaming Special K campaign.
In this degrading advertisement, our female protagonist is so embarassed about her (imaginary) fat arms that she remembers, just in time, she is not worthy to participate fully in life (let alone her own relationship!) unless she has toned, rock-solid arms that wouldn’t wobble in the midst of jackhammering a driveway.

Luckily, Kellogg’s are there to help with the Special K brand of flavoured cardboard. She smiles serenely to herself as she tucks into a bowl of mystery flakes, knowing that she’s got at least 50 reps against the linen chest before she’s done with this particular bout of self-loathing.

And voila! The fat arms are gone and finally, finally she is worthy of her partner’s love again. Most importantly, she’s allowed to wave in public.

Everything about this advertisement is awful. Julie over at Beautiful You also has a write-up on this horrendous piece of television and comments on the shameful website as well.

I’d also like to point out that in 100g of Special K, there is 1570kj.
In 100g of Coco Pops, there is 1610kj.
You might as well eat Coco Pops.
